Culvert Repair & Restoration

Culverts are an essential tool for ensuring water flow and storm drainage do not compromise critical structures or infrastructure.

Culvert Repair & Restoration

Common Causes of Culvert and Roadway Failures:

Water flow and leaks from drainage boxes and pipes compromise the soil and cause erosion above and around the culvert and roadway. This causes the roadway and culvert structure to lose support, resulting in settlement and roadway cracking and sinking. These soil voids and movement around the culvert or roadway can at times cause total failure. Many drainage systems and joints remain intact but need the soil densified, re-compacted, lifted and stabilized.

Trenchless Culvert Repair and Restoration Solution:

Shenandoah’s deep injection, eco-friendly, water-resistant, expansive polymer is injected into the foundation soil beneath the roadway and culvert structure at various elevations. This process densifies and compacts loose and voided soils, lifting and stabilizing the roadway and drainage structure to its original grade. The polymers are also injected around joints to help stabilize soils and encase and seal leaking joints.
