Embankment Stabilization & Restoration Delray Beach
When it comes to embankment stabilization and restoration in Delray Beach, contact the experts at Shenandoah. Shenandoah construction has been stabilizing and restoring embankments on lakes, ponds, waterways, dikes, dams, and roadways for decades. An embankment is an earthen structure which is used to raise the elevation of a railway or roadway above the height of the surrounding area. Oftentimes, embankments can begin to show signs of serious instability due to the erosion of subsoils because of water migration, floods, nearby excavation, and trenching, etc. If embankment instability is left alone, embankment failure is inevitable.
Shenandoah has helped thousands of customers, and communities in Delray Beach and throughout the state of Florida with embankment stabilization and restoration, saving them millions of dollars in real estate assets. Our team of experts will work with you to assess your unique land challenges, and we can help you remediate the issue of embankment and soil erosion before complete embankment failure occurs.
Shenandoah draws on its vast experience with the full range of techniques to provide optimal embankment stabilization and restoration solutions for various projects.
Shenandoah's work withstood Hurricane Ian
In October of 2021, Shenandoah Construction was contracted by Lee County Department of Transportation to remediate seawall issues on the Sanibel Island Bridge Span A.
Sept. 28, 2022 Ian made landfall in southwest Florida as a Category 4 Hurricane with max winds of 150 mph.
Seawall still standing. The material did its job.
Cost Effective Method of Embankment Stabilization & Restoration
We use an innovative cost effective, eco-friendly, deep polymer injection process. These structural polymers will expand, and cure in the presence of water, meaning it will repel water and maintain its structure in heavily saturated areas. The polymers expand and compress loose soils, fill subsurface voids and fissures, and tightly bond with surrounding soils. The industrial polymers are precisely injected into 5/8” diameter holes, drilled through the ground or pavement at different depths, and grid patterns. Sometimes in depths of 15 to 20 feet. The industrial polymers reach 90% of their strength in 15 minutes, and 100% of strength in 24 hours, creating an impenetrable watertight barrier, restoring the integrity of the embankment. This method is far superior to traditional mudjacking and slurry grouting.
Shenandoah is a licensed affiliate of Uretek. Uretek’s (UDI) 2 stage deep injection polymer process has led the industry since the 1980’s.
