Chemical Grouting and Pipe Sealing Fort Myers

If your aging sewer system, manhole, or culvert is experiencing groundwater infiltration, look no further than Shenandoah. With over four decades of expertise, we have been the trusted provider of chemical grouting and pipe sealing services in Fort Myers and throughout Florida and Southeast Georgia. Our cost-effective and long-term chemical grouting solutions offer a reliable fix for infiltration issues in underground systems. Infiltration occurs when defects in below grade structures like manholes, sanitary sewer lines, or storm drains allow groundwater to enter, leading to the entry of sand and debris. This can cause increased wear and tear on your equipment and an upsurge in the need for cleaning. But worry not! Our specialized chemical grouting can effectively seal pipe joints and sewer connections, reducing or even eliminating infiltration in manholes and sewer lines. Plus, our chemical grouting provides a permanent repair solution that can outlast the life of the structure when installed correctly. The best part? It’s a trenchless technology, meaning there’s no need for digging up damaged pipes. This saves you time, money, and minimizes disruption to the surrounding area. If your pipeline is in need of chemical grouting and sealing, don’t hesitate to get in touch with Shenandoah today. Our expertise and experience will safeguard your underground systems and provide you with a reliable, long-lasting solution.

How Does Chemical Grouting & Pipe Sealing Work?

Chemical grouting works best when the pipe to be repaired is still structurally sound. Over time pipes can sag, joints can become separated and cracks can develop allowing intrusion into the pipe. After first inspecting the pipe with robotic video camera technology if it’s determined the pipe is structurally sound, the pipe will be cleaned and prepared using inflatable plugs placed in the damaged areas of the pipe. Upon inflation, grout is then injected into the separated joints or cracks and the surrounding soil. This special polyurethane grout only takes about 25 minutes to densify, and expand into the cracks, voids, and adjacent soil, effectively sealing the pipe. Even in instances where it’s determined it best to re-line a section of pipe, chemical grouting will still be used prior to re-lining. This prevents any ground water from seeping into the pipe and getting between the pipe and the liner.
