Seawall Bulkhead Repair & Sealing Delray Beach

Has your seawall been damaged by natural forces?  Contact us at Shenandoah for seawall bulkhead repair in Delray Beach today.  Whether you are a homeowner, industrial/commercial property manager, or a manager for a home owners association, we offer you a one stop shop for all of your seawall bulkhead repair and sealing needs.  Seawalls can be compromised in a variety of ways, but one of the most frequent issues is the loss of support soils from behind the seawall or bulkhead. When continuous water movement washes out the base soils, voids can begin to develop below the seawall and can lead to further problems, such as sinkholes or settlement of the soils along the seawall.

When you contact Shenandoah, we offer no-excavation seawall & bulkhead repair and sealing. By employing a deep injection polymer resign into the compromised voided areas, our team can resolve your seawall issues and help you avoid the high-cost hassle of dealing with coastal marine contractors, bulkhead construction, bulkhead replacement, or seawall replacement.  Our technically advanced teams have decades of training and experience in completing the most challenging projects, returning seawall structures to their stable original state. If you need no-excavation seawall & bulkhead repair, sealing, and stabilization, contact us today.

Shenandoah's work withstood Hurricane Ian

In October of 2021, Shenandoah Construction was contracted by Lee County Department of Transportation to remediate seawall issues on the Sanibel Island Bridge Span A.

Sept. 28, 2022 Ian made landfall in southwest Florida as a Category 4 Hurricane with max winds of 150 mph.

Seawall still standing.  The material did its job.

Causes & Signs of Seawall & Bulkhead Failure:

Erosion, depressions, caving, sinkholes, and voids are visible in the ground behind the seawall, bulkhead or retaining wall. Cracks in wall slabs and caps, sagging or leaning slabs, slab deterioration and slab stains are all symptoms of seawall failure. These symptoms are caused by the erosion of the ground behind and under the seawall. Most often this is caused by cracks & leaks in the wall, improper drainage of the groundside water runoff, and/or soil/ground which was not compacted adequately during construction over fear of collapsing the wall.

Methods for No-Excavation Seawall & Bulkhead Repair and Soil Stabilization:

Structural Chemical Grouting:

In granular soils, chemical grouting fills the voids and pockets in soils and subsoils pushing water out, then bonds them together, stabilizing and lifting the soils and structure while creating a significant increased weight bearing capacity. Structural chemical grouting is also used to repair fractures in seawall concrete and rock. When the grout is injected into the cracks and fractures it fills the voids with a powerful grabbing adhesive. It repairs the integrity of the concrete structure and creates a waterproof bond. This method is also widely used for government, infrastructures, industrial, commercial, and residential buildings, and properties.

Water Control Chemical Grouting:

Is most often used to stop water flow in soils and subsoils. Injection points are laid out in a well-defined grid/curtain, then under pressure, chemical grout is injected into the grid pattern which allows it to interconnect. This fills the voids in the soil and creates an underground curtain wall that prevents water migration. Water control grouting is widely used as a cost-effective way to stop leaks in seawalls, dam repair, underground utilities, storm drain & sewer systems. Underground grout curtain walls are created at water flow points to stop the leaks and water flow into the structure.
